About the Book
A Clear Autumn Night
Two young field mice refuse to sleep when there are stars to look at. While the others retreat into their burrows, Wim and Frida head out into the autumn night and into an adventure full of light and wonder. Published by Baeschlin Verlag in September 2025, the book was the season's favourite project at the publisher.
The Process
From First Draft to Finished Book
During character design, differing visions emerged between myself, the author, and the publisher. I sought out the conversation early: asking questions, listening carefully, and building a shared understanding of the visual language they had in mind.

What I learned
Client communication: recognising what people need, asking to clarify, translating that into images
Long-term delivery: structuring and completing a large project from concept to print
